My Journey has always travelled the Art path working as a Secondary school Art teacher for most of my adult life.

In the 70’s I was able to work in the UK and Scotland in Studio potteries creating oven to table wares as well as large pieces.
At this point my interests also included leather work printmaking and painting and which was well received in the Highlands via Trade Fairs and Shops. On returning to Australia my husband and I established Gellibrand Pottery in the Otways. For over 25 years we traded our wares across Australia.

My interest in painting was rekindled when I was offered the chance to create a series of works for a Physiotherapy Clinic in Torquay 10 years ago.

I am continuously inspired by the surrounds of Victoria, The Otways Forest with its cool colours and layers of textures and patterns. The Surf Coast offers endless subject matter with Flora and Fauna and the abstraction that the ocean and the escarpments present. Travel and Camping are also contenders for new ideas.

I enjoy the challenge of using mixed media, pastels, impasto inks, Oils, Gutta, Acrylic and particularly like to create layers, pattern and textures .Subject matter ranges from landscapes, figures, abstracts. Size of works range from 30cms (can be arranged as a collective) and 1 meter plus as required.

Commissions available.
