The Colac Otway Arts Trail was created in an effort to promote local artists while encouraging creative tourism.
In 2023, previously involved artists and events will be dotted along the trail once again as we welcome new artists from across generations and Otway Shire locations from the 7th to the 23rd of April.
When we say the trail, we also mean that it's your trail. With the amount of artists, events, workshops, galleries and community venues participating in the Colac Otway area, we encourage you to personalise your trail by checking out the trail map to plan your 2023 Colac Otway Arts Trail.

Event Objectives
We hope to achieve the following:
The trail encourages both passive and active participation and is a free creative experience for children, youth and adults and provides an inclusive environment for people of all abilities.
- Support of emerging and established artists and arts businesses in the region
- Inspire creativity throughout the general public ... artists and event-goers alike
- Connect from the Colac Otway Shire to those beyond the region through a shared love for the arts
- Increase economic activity for and viability of artists
- Build stronger networks between our neighbouring creative regions
- Increase visitors from outside the shire thus increasing patronage to local food & accommodation businesses.
