In a world of constant frenzy but full of wonder my oil paintings express a moment of hesitation, reflection and calm. I use silver and gold leaf to provide a dynamic quality to the light in a painting where the expression of light changes as the viewer moves from one side to the next.

Australian birdlife features regularly in my work.  Living in South West Victoria there is an abundance of birdlife from which to draw inspiration.  ​

I aim to produce art that initiates an emotional response, joy, humour, relaxation or reflection.  I paint everyday life in Australia, preferring figurative landscapes.  However, I will attempt a range of subject matter.  My style is representational while looking to add some abstract quality.
