Julie Keating

My installation this year is inspired by the ancient trees that stand guard over Lake Colac.
These Himalayan Cypress trees, with their knotholes that resemble eyes, have witnessed
centuries of history and natural beauty. Through my paintings, I aim to capture the
essence of their stories and visions, as if peering through their mystical eyes.
Each small painting will be set in the knotholes of these trees, and each is a unique
reflection of what the trees may have seen and some may even capture the trees own
dreams and fantasies!
Julie Keating is an artist living in Nalangil, amongst the craters and lakes.
