My sculpture "Not so Small Treasure" is an exploration of the human relationship with the
environment. On the surface, it is a humorous comment on the daily struggle of picking up after our beloved pets. But it is also a reminder of our responsibility as stewards of the environment - to clean up after ourselves and to protect the natural world around us. Through the use of materials such as styrofoam, stakes, safety tape, and a poo bag, I invite viewers to consider how our actions can have an impact on the environment. By transforming the mundane into a thing of beauty, I hope to provoke viewers to reflect on their own actions and how they can make a difference in protecting our planet. |
