Brian Wolsley
What Goes on Inside?
Mother Nature sculpts countless molecules to form countless designs, resulting in seed pods, leaves and trees.
Without them nothing would survive.
Having held 6 solo exhibitions at COPACC, Colac, Brian’s artwork, using mixed media, acrylics and pencil, has been inspired by nature’s formations, both coastal and in caves, as well as a fascination with 3D forms. More recently he created a series of dioramas and paintings depicting the Twinnies (who run the Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue in Queensland) in imagined bird rescues. As an interactive exhibition, it was a great success with children and adults alike.
Sadly, with the recent floods in Queensland, these rescues are being played out in real life.”
