Midas’s Tears
Leaves -Liriodendron tulipifera -Yellow Poplar
Inspired by the golden light scattered on the verge in Forrest by this beautiful tree and determined to make a magical carpet from it in honour of its beauty. There is a sadness surrounding the season of  Autumn as the  golden light of Summer fades and the leaves fall to start the cycle of the year again.
My name is Lyndi Whalen and I live at Skenes Creek with my family and make art most days which makes my heart sing. I love working with natural materials and recycled materials. My arts practice follows the colours and shapes of the changing season in my surrounds wherever I may be at the time .I meet with fellow inspired creatives every Wednesday in Forrest to sing and make together .
Follow my Instagram Lyndilufacepaints to see more of my creations.
