Sue Tate

TITLE: Tessellation 4,4
ARTIST: Sue Tate
MEDIUM: rosewood veneer and cloth
Once we took shelter from the sun in the shade of an old jacaranda tree which stood in the back
garden. Cut down to make way for developers it ls long gone but not forgotten.
Rosewood timber shaved to 3 millimetre thickness, then sliced into 10mm squares, is a remnant of
that Jacaranda tree . Its beauty lives on.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
After many years working as a consultant in the information technology business Sue loves the creative processes of visual art. She paints, draws and works a lot with textiles and stitch but presents them in a medium than cloth. Recently she has rediscovered an earlier passion of sculpture and hopes you enjoy this piece.
