“The Buoyed Phoenix” (with apologies to Guy Boyd)
Created from found, repurposed, salvaged objects with patina which I have brought together to represent the mythical creature, Phoenix. This is the Phoenix rising from the ashes. A free-standing sculpture about 2 m high 500mm wide at the top. Made from a plastic buoy, rusted metal, old rake hoe, Yellowbox gum, rusted barbed wire, Wok ring, steel mannequin stand, copper wire and paint and opp shop jewellery, burnt bottle brush seed pods and charcoal. |
