My work in my Marengo studio references a connection between landscape, memory and an evocation of place. I use a visual lexicon of forms that gathers the motifs, memories and perceptions of my women's bush and coastal painting camps which have varied from the Flinders Ranges, Lake Mungo, Mutawintji and Apollo Bay - sites that range from the lushness of 'Bundanon' and Broome to the dry plains of Silverton and Noonkanbah in the Great Sandy Desert.
I work on many different grounds and in a variety of mediums including drypoint, oil paint, collage, acrylic and clay. Dimensions range from a few centimeters to 1.2 metres
Some Selected Collections: NGV, National Gallery Canberra, Art Gallery SA & WA, Parliament House Canberra, Australian Embassy Iran, Powerhouse Museum Sydney, Regional Galleries Manly, Newcastle, Ballarat, Shepparton, Bathurst, Bendigo, Geelong, New England, State Craft Collection, Australia Craft Council, Art Bank, Victoria Ministry for the Arts, Latrobe University, University of Melbourne
