​Julie’s work seeks the beauty of humanity in the everyday.  Many works share a strong connection to the environment and our place within it - light streaking through a bottle, an empty staircase leading to the beach, a lone boat moored on a pier. Julie worked as a newspaper journalist for 26 years before moving to Warrnambool, on Victoria’s south west coast, to paint and write. In 2020, she completed a Visual Arts course at South West TAFE that focused on painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking.
