‘Hatched’
Medium-  Found objects.
This playful, ephemeral work refers to the decline of our planet’s insect pollinators. The
over-use of pesticides is directly threatening the planets food sources. “Bio-diverse insect
species as depicted in our cocoon are vital for healthy eco-systems”
Peter Day and Amanda Perry-Bolt are long standing members of the Otway Ranges artistic

community. For over 35 years they have both worked across a range of art disciplines
including sculpture, mural art, textile, assemblage, performance, and ephemeral land art.
Acclaimed for their recent award winning Artivism projects their work sits at the
intersection of deep ecology, land art and sculpture design.
